Fort Myers ISI Team Competition and District 18 Seminar
General Information
Competition Date: January 14 -15, 2012

Entry Deadline: All entries must be postmarked by: December 14, 2011
Entry Fees: The entry fee for the first event is: $ 50.00 and $10.00 for each additional event. Family entry is $80.00 which covers the first event for 2 family members.
Entry fee will be doubled after the deadline, if accepted by the competition director. Any changes to the original entry form after the deadline,will result in a $25.00 per change.
THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON.

Facility: The Fort Myers Skatium is a city owned single rink facility with ice surface measuring 200’x 85’. There will be locker rooms available for changing. There is a warm area inside the lobby, along with a snack bar, and game room.
Schedule: A schedule of events, and practice schedule will be faxed 2 weeks prior to the competition.
Music: All music must be on CD’s clearly labeled with the skaters name and event. Music must be submitted to the check-in table one hour prior to the scheduled event, and may be picked up at the end of the competition. It is highly recommended that each skater have a back-up copy of their music. No cassettes will be accepted.Check-In: Competitions may run early or late therefore: All skaters should arrive at the rink 1 hour prior to their scheduled event. Each competitor will receive a goody bag upon check-in.
Awards: Medals will be awarded for First -Sixth Places. Awards may be picked up after results have been posted.
Accounting Review Request: There are no reviews of the Judges score sheets in ISI. Once tabulated, the judges scores are final. Only the re-tabulations or re-addition of scores can be requested by a coach who must submit an Accounting Review Request form and remit $ 50.00 to the ISI Competition Director. The Competition Director is the only one permitted to review the judges sheets. Should the re-tabulation result in an adjustment, the $ 50.00 will be refunded. The skaters affected by any adjustments will be awarded the correct placements: however, skaters in the original tabulation will not be denied their original placements. The decision of the Competition Director is final.
Judges: All judges must be current ISI Professional Members, and must be available to judge the day of the competition. Each rink is required to send one judge for every ten skaters. Please fax back the judges inquiry to 239-344-4451. There will be a brief judges meeting directly before the start of the competition each day.
Eligibility Rules: The competition is open to all current individual and professional members of ISI who are competing at the test level registered with the ISI on or before December 14, 2011. Members of the USFSA are eligible to participate as stated in the ISI – USFSA Joint Statement of Policy. USFSA members must also be current ISI members, and have passed all the ISI tests up to the equivalents of the highest USFSA test passed.
Performance Rules: Please refer to the latest edition of the ISI Handbook for event rules; books are available from ISI at Ice Skating Institute, 6000 Custer Road, Bldg. 9, Plano, TX 75023. Phone ISI at: 972-735-8800. A 2012 Rule Revision is attached to this packet.
Practice Ice: The Skatium offers many freestyle sessions during the week. Please refer to fmskatium.org for the complete freestyle sessions and costs. A competition practice schedule will be faxed 2 weeks before the competition. Skaters are limited to two sessions.
Coaches and Judges Note: All coaches are to verify all information on the entry forms before signing. Please fill out the judges Inquiry Form. All judges must be current ISI Professional Members. It is advised to make a copy of your skaters application for yourself to avoid any discrepancies. Please fax judge’s inquiry form to: 239-344-4451.
